According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics JOLTS series, PlainLabor tracks job openings, hires, quits, and layoffs across 28 industries and 51 states from 2019 to 2026; as of the latest data the national job-openings rate is 4.2% and the quits rate is 2.0%. Our methodology explains how every figure is sourced. Records on PlainLabor reflect the most recent source data we have processed and can lag an official release. Values can change after we ingest a record, and source data may contain errors or be incomplete. Always confirm the current information directly with the primary source before acting.
